Las Vegas 2008 Part Un
Our trip to Vegas was wonderful. The first day we woke up before everyone else so after getting ready and having breakfast we walked around a bit. I wanted to go play with jewelry at Tiffany's, and Greg was nice enough to oblige. And where is there a Tiffany's but the Bellagio!
Brad at Planet Hollywood. This was the hotel he stayed at, fully comped! It was pretty nice, not sensory overload like some of the other places. We might stay here on a future trip. Doubtfully comped though.
Greg and I at Hard Rock Cafe. We all went dancing one night. It was sooo stressful trying to get in. We all had to stand behind a velvet rope until the bouncer let us in. He ignored us until I finally just asked him if we could get in, ha!
Greg reluctantly agreed to pose with the scorpion statue. He's not as in to the silly vacation pics as Heather, but like a good husband he does what is asked. Stay tuned for more pictures in the next post.
It's the Year of the Rat in the Chinese New Year. The Bellagio has a nice display in their atrium.
We caught the Bellagio fountain show from inside the hotel. Later we met up with the rest of the crowd and walked around more.
Here is the Palazzo, the newest hotel--it literally just opened this weekend. We saw Andy Garcia while walking through but I couldn't get my camera out soon enough.
This is the ceiling of the same room.
Greggie.
Danielle and Rick. We hung out at the Planet Hollywood hotel after a Brazillian bbq dinner on Saturday night.
Danielle and Heather's new shoes! We were regretting them later after a night of walking, standing and dancing in them. My feet are still recovering (I'll spare you the details).
Rick took a self portrait when we weren't looking, hilarious!
Greg, Heather and Brad at the Hard Rock. Another fine photogenic moment for poor Greg! The club was actually a ton of fun, they played songs from the 80's and early 90's. We danced for awhile until I found a comfy chair and then we chair danced for awhile.
Greg in the Mac Daddy suite that Rick and Danielle were upgraded to. The suite was bigger then our house!
Rick in the Mac Daddy suite. There was a huge picture window to the left.
Here is the view from the window. The window is pretty dirty, but the view is nice! That's the Paris hotel, and the Bellagio fountains.
Outside Ceasar's Palace on one of our walkabouts.
An event for the Miss America Pagent scheduled to air the next week. Last year Greg sat next to Miss Connecticut on the way to Vegas, no luck this year! But Heather caught an event with all 50 girls at the mall.
Heather on a sand sculpture at the airport. Look how smiley she is, silly girl thinking she was actually going to leave Las Vegas on her original flight!
