Florida Trip

We traveled down to the state of Florida on Veteran's Day weekend. This was in lieu of going down for the holidays since Heather has virtually no leave yet in her new job. Here are a few pictures of the visit.

Heather poses in Epcot. It was a beautiful day, in the 60's blue skies, sunny--can't ask for anything better.

Buddha in "China" at Epcot

Heather's brother Aaron, his wife Betisa, and Heather pose in "Morocco" also at Epcot.

A little more of Morroco, looks very "Aladdin", no?

It wouldn't be a proper picture moment if Heather didn't ham it up. Here she tries on a belly dancing headress of some sort in "Morroco"

Greg begrudgingly puts on a fez to appease Heather. He's not nearly as goofy as she is.

A view of "Japan" at Epcot. Turns out we spent the most amount of money here then any other place in Epcot. Betisa and Aaron had fun picking out different Japanese treats to take home. Wish I'd gotten a picture of that, there were wrappers with Japanese pictures and writing everywhere!

Here is a nice shot of "Germany" all decorated for Christmas. I once heard someone say that the Germans think they invented Christmas, an editorial remark on their fervent love for it. Personally I think it was just lovely.

Heather poses with a traditional German "Pickle Tree". Who knew such things existed? Never able to turn down a chance to be goofy Heather had to get a shot with it.

The gorgeous sunset at Epcot. We only spent one day at the park and it was quite crowded so we mostly walked around and looked at things, instead of participating in them. But it was still a fun time. The second day of our trip we spent with my parents and unfortunately I forget to get pictures of that. We all met up for Brunch at a Greek Restaurant near Aaron and Betisa's and then spent the day at A & B's gorgeous new home. It's almost completely put together and it's so beautiful and homey at the same time. Plus the rocking entertainment center helped. We spent some time out on the lanai sitting and visiting, then had a bbq for dinner. It was a really nice visit, although too short!
