Star gazing

Sunday night Greg and I went to "The Lot" to watch the Perseids meteor shower. We arrived earlier in the evening to enjoy our time on the Shenendoah. The water looks brownish, but it was actually fairly clear.

Here's Heather relaxing in the evening sun after our swim. I think perhaps she needs a new bathing suit...

Greg posing as we unload the truck. You'd think we were camping for a week with all the stuff we brought. We didn't even stay overnight...

We played frisbe for awhile after our swim. How's that for an action shot! And taken with a camera phone no less.
Greg made a nice fire, where we cooked our food later in the night. It was such a beautiful evening out, wish we'd had more time there.

After dinner we played cards until it got too dark to see and then laid out and watched the meteors. We didn't see a whole lot of them because clouds kept passing through, but we saw a few. Then we went home. Originally we were going to camp out but Heather decided she wanted to sleep on her tempurpedic bed on a work night. Getting soft in her old age...
