RIP dearest Otto

On January 3, 2010 we said good-bye to our dear friend and dog, Otto. It's taken me weeks to get the news up, and it's still very hard. We loved that boy more than anything. He was a loyal pet and a good friend. The last year and a half after his diagnosis with a brain tumor were filled up with as many precious moments as we could find. Here are a few we caught on camera.

Rest in Peace dear Otto, you were a very good boy.

Blizzard of 2010

I know we are way behind in posting pictures. I owe you at least pictures of our holidays. But right now all I want to do is share the pictures of our snow. We have about a foot and a half with more falling. Apparently the hard stuff hasn't even gotten to us yet!

These shots were taken around 9am, we have at least 8 more inches now. Here's our backyard:

Another shot of our backyard.

Our house and car.

Getting ready to do some shoveling. I'm layered up: neoprene socks, running tights, warm up pants, running dry-light top, running water resistant top, wool hat, wool gloves, and the ever unattractive but extremely effective rubber-band fastened garbage bags.Kolohe looking for buried treasure.

Greg cleans off the hot tub. VERY IMPORTANT.

We went for a walk, same layers on me with the addition of Greg's ski coat, ha! Kolohe enjoyed the walk till we tried to take her on a path in the woods, which we couldn't find... Not to mention she had to walk through snow that was taller then her. She stopped having fun right about then, and we got extra exercise carrying a 50 pound dog.

Our street. So pretty! And maybe half way through the storm, more to come.

Where we are heading next. :)

Happy snow day everyone!
